Pine Grove Baptist is currently searching for the Minister of Music God has for us.

This position is a part-time, on-site, salaried position in Leoma, TN.

It involves planning, preparing, and leading Sunday worship services. Selecting Biblically aligned songs that fit the sermon series and mission. Leading worship with passion, humility, and musical excellence. Inspiring the congregation’s worship, engaging age groups with a variety of experiences to promote worship as a meaningful part of corporate and personal worship, bringing about spiritual growth. Ensuring alignment with the church’s mission and values through song selection and singing.

*Pending church growth and the individuals’ gifts, skills, and abilities, this could grow into a full-time position.

Qualifications:

1. Must have saving faith in Jesus Christ, have a growing relationship with him.                                       

2. Leadership Skills: Capable leader, organizational skills, excellent interpersonal communication. Advanced Computer skills.

3. Ability to work well with pastoral staff, church leadership, volunteers, and congregation.

4. Technical Skills: Familiarity with audio/visual equipment and presentation software.

5. Must be a person of high integrity and character in public and private.

6. Be able to read and perform music.

7. Be actively involved in church life, including attendance at church services, events, and meetings.

8. Must become a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

9. If married, the spouse should be supportive of the ministry and actively involved in the life of the church

10. Proficiency in at least one accompanying instrument (guitar, piano, etc.)

11. To attend staff and business meetings as required.

12. Working Knowledge of CCLI licensing for songs and video used in worship.​

Spiritual Leadership:

Strong faith in Jesus Christ. An understanding and commitment to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). Can not be a recent convert. Model a Christ-centered life and maintain a strong personal relationship with God. Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and staff to align worship with sermon themes.

Character: A servant-hearted leader with humility, creativity, and a deep desire to glorify God through worship.

A team player who works well with others and maintains a flexible and adaptable attitude.

Education & Experience:

1. At least 1 year of experience leading a church congregation.

2. Music degree or equivalent experience preferred. 

3. Proficient in vocal and instrumental worship leading (guitar or piano preferred).

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate a comprehensive worship program that includes all age groups in the life of the church with hymns and contemporary music that are blended to form environments of worship.

2. Work in tandem with the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor to plan all services to support the message of the Gospel and a   Meaningful worship experience.

3. Be responsible for finding and equipping leaders for the Worship team and choir in cooperation with the Pastor and the nominating committee.

4.    Commit to approximately 4 hours per week for planning and leading worship services weekly.

5.    Participate in additional ministerial duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
